Well, I totally forgot about Blogger's Challenge and really wanted to play with Build A Bear things...so I kind of combined the two! Please do not judge me too harshly -- I don't own any letters for the Big Shot or in Stamps because I just don't use them...or so I thought! Yep, I am ordering a couple of Big Shot letter sets with my next order...and My Digital Studio so I can start digi-scrapping and designing!
I think you'll see where I was going with this project. Forgive my handwriting -- I realize it isn't the greatest and that is why I type most everything!
On this side of the door hanger, most everything is made with foam except for Mama Bear's clothing and her baby's picture.
I used my Coluzzle circle cutter to make room for the door handle and I left this generously sized so Mama Bear wouldn't be cramped. I stamped Baby Bear's picture with the "Seal of Pawthenticy" stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock. I punched a square out of Night of Navy with a 1 1/4" square punch and then I punched around that empty square space with a 1 3/8" square punch to create the frame. I punched a Ballet Blue 1 3/8" square and used Two Way glue to adhere the frame on top of the square. I cut around my baby bear and adhered him to the Ballet Blue square.
And, as you can see, I've handwritten my sentiment. Let's consider this one my prototype and I will actually be diecutting my words out when I create a door hanger as part of a gift.
Here's a picture of the "back" side of my door hanger. Obviously, baby won't be sleeping all the time. He has to eat and fill his diapers, so here's the side Mama Bear can use when Baby isn't sleeping.
Don't you just dig those floral pants! These are her jammies 'cause that baby is keeping her very busy! Mama Bear's clothing was generously donated by the Pawsitively Prints Designers. I used Close to Cocoa cardstock to create Mama Bear on this side.
I hope you enjoy your day and have a fabulous weekend planned. My son has a football game tonight and we are planning to attend. Due to the cast on his right wrist, he isn't playing and really doesn't have any idea when that cast is going to be removed. Bummer...he would really like to be playing and helping his team. The weather should be beautiful.
Tomorrow, our beloved Buckeyes play Navy and we will be there. GO BUCKS!
May God bless you in many ways today!

I like it Tami, a great idea. And your handwriting isn't too bad, it actually adds some great character to your door hanger.

Tami this is cute! What a fun idea to hang this on your door to let people know you have a baby sleeping. (I'm with you in that I don't own any Alpha sets/dies either)
