Wednesday evening, I'm participating in an event specifically for seniors. My part is last and is to introduce them to stamping/scrapbooking. I'm basically doing a Stamping 101 presentation and am introducing them to papercrafting -- about which I am passionate!
I offered to donate a door prize so I created this wallet to include a $50 gift certificate as part of the gift bag I'll be donating. I'm including coasters (everyone ALWAYS loves them!), a Decor Elements piece but I haven't decided which one. Also included will be a trivet, a dry erase tile decorated with a Decor Element Christmas Tree, hand-crafted cards and whatever else I decide to toss in. This wallet is so quick and easy to create -- and it can be made for any occasion.
This is the outside of the wallet and I've used more of my retired paper stash. I ordered so much of this snowflake paper because I love Baja Breeze and, at that time, Baja Breeze was not a permanent color -- so glad we got it back during the color renovation! Check out that felt snowflake behind that corduroy button -- I love both of those pieces and still have tons of them -- one never knows when the next great project will come along and all of these pieces will continue to match (yeah...I've got the striped ribbon too!).
Here is a picture of the wallet open and holding my Sam's card in place of the Gift Certificate I'm printing to include. The right side is intended to hold a note so I'll stamp something on that card before I include it in the gift bag.
I've used the flat velcro pieces to hold this closed. See how easy this one is? If you would like the instructions, drop me an email and I'll send them to you (will be Thursday or after). I also think this could be cute if made into a wristlet and will be doing that within the next few days just to see how it would look.
One thing is for certain -- I should never buy another gift card holder as I have patterns and pictures of at least 50 different gift card holders to use for inspiration. How about you?
I'm hoping to stamp today. Monday is always cleaning day for me and I mopped the house. Love the smell, love the shine on my floors, dread the day it needs done. But that's over and I can stamp tomorrow guilt free!
Have a fabulous Tuesday and blessings to you! Thanks for stopping!
